BOARDWALK EMPIRE | VISUAL EFFECTS

A huge fan of most things HBO, (especially the old intro, Fraggle Rock and Six Feet Under) I found this quite intriguing. I'm looking forward to the next season, slated for the fall but in the meantime, True Blood and Sookie Stackhouse have my undivided attention.

Schlieren .44 Magnum

I ran across this image today. It's a technique called Schlieren Photography that captures refracting waves of air. In this case it makes for an amazing shot of a .44 Magnum that visually captures the thunder from that handgun.
