NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC | AURORA BOREALIS

I'm grown a bit obsessed with the aurora borealis. I partially blame Neil Young's Pocahontas and my hope that I'll bump into him one day in Half Moon Bay now that I've been spending more time down there with my in-laws. Regardless of where the strange attraction comes from I really love this video from National Geographic. This time lapse of the Northern Lights in Norway is like nothing I've seen before. I hope one day to see this natural phenomenon in person, maybe while listening to Neil Young.

AS A FOLLOW UP: I found this video from a flight over the Earth from August to October 2011 on the International Space Station. Credits below pasted and reposted from the Michael König's Vimeo page.
